Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow.

So Thursday night, Gary called on his way home from work and asked it I had looked outside. I didn't get excited because I figured it was just a few flakes. When I went to the window, I was amazed. It was beautiful. It was coming down pretty hard. So, just as I did as a little kid, I immediately turned on the t.v. to see if school would be out on Friday. Another teacher called a few minutes later to tell me that school would be cancelled. Yipppeee!!! This meant that we could sleep late and get up and play in the snow. Right???? Wrong....Carter slept with us. Yeah, yeah I know. This is rare at our house. But anyway, he woke me up at 6:20 (his normal work day wake up time) ready to play. We woke Gary up, bundled up, and headed outside to play in the snow. We had so much fun. HE LOVED IT. So here are some pics......

Carter's first time sledding.

Making snow angels with mommy.

He loved throwing the snow.

Being silly with daddy.

Last weekend we went to see the ice sculptures at the Opryland Hotel. It had a Grinch theme made entirely of ice. It was so cold in there! It reminded us of Siberia. On top of all of the clothes and coats that you wear, they provide another coat to put on top of all of it. Carter was able to slide down the slide made of ice. It was beautiful!

We decided to buy Carter a tree to decorate for himself. He helped us with ours and enjoyed it, so we knew he would like having his own. We let him decorate it how he wanted. It was funny because in the end all of the ornaments ended up in one area of the tree. It was too cute.

Oh we went to the Grinch thing too and had a blast! I couldn't believe how cold it was though! I was afraid of the slide, but Noah did it. :)
