Being a mom is a blessing.....

Today was a wonderful day. I spent the whole day with Gary and Carter. (My mom and I spent some time Saturday together and we are going to a Mother's Day banquet on Friday.) We woke up and went to church. Gary and Carter took me out to our favorite place....Panchos....for some fabulous Mexican food. We came home and Carter and Daddy both gave me cards. One of the cards played the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". This is a very special song to us. This was pretty much our theme song when we were waiting on our little angel to get here. Anytime we were having a tough day or just needed some stress relief, we would listen to that song. So....after I was finally able to get myself together after reading this card, Carter came walking in dragging a present. It was too cute. I opened it.........and wooohooo it was a new blender. I know you are thinking....a blender??? Well I really wanted a good blender because we are all into the protein shakes and our blender just wasn't cut out for that. So I have already used it twice today and it is wonderful! So another Mother's Day has come and gone, but I will treasure each and every one. I remember how I used to feel about Mother's Day and it definitely doesn't feel that way anymore. What a blessing it is to be a mom!
